I offer expert, professional help on all aspects of Flat glass. This includes windows, doors, cladding, assemblies, curtain walling, double glazing, glass in furniture, transportation, in aquaria and machinery, glass handling, processing, damage, weathering, staining, wind loading, explosion resistance. I also cover glass legislation, risk assessment, failures, and injuries resulting from glass accidents.


My experience includes employment with Pilkington Plc, world's largest Flat glass producer, for 23 years, first as Laboratory manager, then as Technical Advisory manager.


I was the author of all Pilkington's Flat Glass Technical Literature for 10 years, and I developed and managed a Glass Information and Advisory Service on all aspects of Glass.


I then established myself as an Independent Glass and Glazing Consultant.

I was a Co-author of the first edition of the “Standard and Guide to Good Practice for Curtain Walling” issued by the University of Bath, Centre for Window and Cladding Technology, and have served on the British Standard Committees responsible for the production of the Standards on glass and glazing..


I am recognized by the Glass and Glazing Federation as an Independent Consultant on Glass and Glazing matters. My Institute of Physics I.D. number is 570071, my Registration Number with the Engineering Council is 537103, and I am a Member of the British Academy of Experts (MAE), Accredited Expert Registration Number 1629, and a Member of the Expert Witness Institute (MEWI), Membership Number 01191.
